The hardest part is realizing that when your country cries, you cry too — just from far away.
It’s feeling that your people are going through something difficult and knowing you can only call, write, wait, and pray.
It’s living with your heart split between where you are and where you will always belong.
Today, Venezuela reminded us of something many of us have felt for years:
distance may separate us physically, but it will never separate us from the pain we feel when our land suffers.
Because we are still children of that country.
Yesterday, nature shook Venezuela, and in some way, it also shook all of us who are far away.
It reminded us that love for our land doesn’t understand borders, kilometers, or years.
How much more will our people have to endure?
It’s time to be united.
It’s time to support each other.
It’s time to remember that we have always moved forward together.
We are a strong people.
We are hardworking.
We are good.
And we will get through this too, helping one another.
I love you, Venezuela. 🇻🇪❤️🇻🇪
