Hi guys I purchased this watch a few months ago at a good price I’d say, I fully checked it over movement etc and everything is perfect apart from the seconds hand it looks too short ( but not a issue) the original case, caseback, crown look good so do other hands and dial.
Anyway the crystal caught my attention and I wondered for a 50s watch I’m sure there weren’t crystals like this, I’m sure there rounded off at the rehault! But also the watch started to steam up if I moved around enough, so I would open the crown fully and let the moisture escape.
Further inspection I tock off the bezel to get to the crystal to see what the issue was and the rehault had been completely tampered with as if the crystal wasn’t the correct one and they altered the rehault so that the crystal could fit !
So the rehault is bent in more than two locations with the rust on the crystal as pictured , question is how can I carefully push the rehault back so it’s fully rounded off ?
