There seems to be differing opinions among experts on several details regarding these great historical watches. Specifically;
1. Were later pieces fitted with metal bezel inserts?
2. Were later pieces fiitted with all black date wheel?
3. Was the GMT hand equilateral or scalene (yes, I know this has been debated amongst experts on here).
If you look at the close up from a 1958 advertisement, it would seem the answer to all of the above is YES
