During the Monday night game between the Hornets and Detroit Pistons, LaMelo Ball sustained a fracture in his ankle. In the third quarter of the game, Ball suffered a non-contact injury when he twisted his ankle and fell on the ground. He seemed visibly in pain as he held on to his ankle in agony. The 21-year-old star left the court immediately after the injury.

The Statement read, “An x-ray taken at the arena revealed the fracture…updates regarding his status will be provided as appropriate.” However, there hasn’t been any update on his return to court. Several fans swarmed the comments section with varied opinions after the breaking news. Several fans drew a parallel with LeBron James’ recent ankle injury.
