Let’s take a look at all the LoL skins released in the current 2023 season. Which champions and new skin lines did the developers work on?

Riot Games releases new skins in almost every champ, giving champions refreshing and unique looks to match everyone’s liking.
After a 2022 season full of epic skins and chromas, 2023 is welcoming new additions to some of the existing skin lines. With more than 1,400 unique skins in the entire game, it has become incredibly hard to track them all.
For that reason, we’re going to keep track of the skins released this year and update them every time new skins are added.
Skin Line | Champions | Release Date | LoL Patch |
Mythmaker | Galio,Garen, Irelia, Sivir, Zyra | Jan. 12th, 2023 | LoL Patch 13.1 |
Lunar Gods | Ashe, Kha’Zix, Malphite, Qiyana, Thresh | Jan. 26th, 2023 | LoL Patch 13.1b |
Heartache & Heartthrob | Amumu, Caitlyn, Vi | Feb. 10th, 2023 | LoL Patch 13.3 |
Astronaut | Fizz, Ivern, Kennen, Singed, Xerath | Feb. 23rd, 2023 | LoL Patch 13.4 |
Riot usually has the tendency to release skins for popular champions like Lux, Ezreal, and Lee Sin, just to name a few. That being said, there are quite a few less popular champions that haven’t gotten any new skins in quite a long time:
Given that Skarner VGU should be coming later this year, we should expect a skin for him. This should also happen to Aurelion Sol after his recent CGU. Udyr is also another champion that hasn’t gotten any new skin.

Riot is likely bringing back the Cats vs. Dogs skin line which is usually released for April Fools. Expect the skin line to be back for this season’s event as well. Kled will likely have a skin for it since it was already featured in other champions’ splash arts.
Aside from this one, we might see the Fae Magic skin line. Kalista and Karma are set to get a skin for it, as the concept arts were already revealed.

Prestige skins are unique versions of determined skins, with the goal of making them even more exclusive and aesthetically pleasing to look at. For this year, the skins that received a prestige version were Porcelain Lissandra and Prestige Mythmaker Sivir, both released for the Lunar Revel event.

While the two won’t be the only prestige skin, the upcoming champions that will receive it are unconfirmed.
How Many Skins Will Riot Release in 2023?Riot released approximately a total of 140 skins in 2022, and a similar amount in the previous year. With that in mind, expect to have around the same number this year, so another 130 to 140 skins!
With skins being released every two weeks with the releases of League patches, we have an average of 5 skins added every time.
LoL Mythic Shop – The seasonal mythic skinsIf you aren’t able to earn the Prestige skins when they are available during specific events, Riot added a second way to redeem them with the introduction of the Mythic shop. The Prestige skins will be rotating each month and be up for grabs with the tokens.

Hextech skins are also present in the Mythic Shop and can be unlocked with the right amount of Mythic Essence, now that Gemstones have been removed.
Riot recently also introduced new content in the Mythic shop, the mythic chromas. These are the chroma version for Seasonal Mythic skins or the previously released legendary skins. Each chroma costs 40 Mythic Essence. Expect to see more of these chromas added to the shop in this season.
