The Dota 2 Bali Major has added Indonesian computing company and internet provider BizNet to its sponsor list, tournament organisers IO Esports and Epulze have announced.
The company is serving as the Major’s official internet partner, delivering internet connections and infrastructure to the game servers and event as a whole.
The Bali Major is the first Dota 2 Pro Circuit Major tournament in Indonesia, and therefore, the first on BizNet’s home soil.
Running from July 7th-9th, the Bali Major will offer 18 teams a share of the $500,000 (~£330,000) prize pool and the last chance at a qualification spot at The International 2023, which will be held in Seattle.
The Indonesian event has already had its fair share of high drama, following news yesterday that BetBoom player Ivan ‘Pure’ Moskalenko was spotted watching a stream during a technical pause, an action forbidden by most esports tournament organisers because it can give players an unfair advantage.
BizNet joins a roster of sponsors that already includes Sweden-based clothing company H&M, esports analytics company Shikenso, esports data company GRID, betting company 1xBet and gaming chair manufacturer DXRacer.
Adi Kusma, President Director at Biznet, commented on the partnership: “Biznet recognises that online gaming is one of the top platforms that allows people to create great memories and stay connected with friends.
“We are extremely proud to be part of this event by providing our services and expertise to ensure that the Bali Major operates smoothly for players and fans at the live venue as well as for fans who are tuning from their homes around the world.”
