The USP is the CT starter pistol in CS:GO, and for such a small weapon, it packs a punch. We’re here to help you use the USP in-game, and discover the best CS:GO USP skins.

For starters, you must ensure the USP is selected over the P2000. Compared to the USP, the P2000 is useless, and you won’t find many players using it online.

For CT pistol rounds, we recommend keeping the USP. Its high damage output means that your money is far better spent on armor, especially with the relative weakness of the Glock-18 on T-side. This damage output makes the weapon ideal for eco rounds. You can still deal some serious damage to opponents without investing a cent into your loadout, giving you a great chance to win eco rounds.

With a magazine cap of 12 and just 24 bullets in reserve, ammo is in short supply for the USP. Because of this, you should refrain from spraying your shots. For the same reason, you should always try and force 1v1 engagements with the USP. Only having 12 bullets can find you frequently reloading, and facing multiple enemies will only see that become more of an issue and likely result in death. For the USP CS:GO players should always aim for the head, as the difference in damage from body to head is enormous.

When using the USP CS:GO players should always have their best CS:GO crosshair enabled. If you’re going for headshots, having a custom crosshair will make a massive difference in your effectiveness. Its accuracy makes it a great choice when peeking a corner to finish off an enemy that’s already low. You can usually get enough shots off quickly with the USP, making it perfect in tough situations.

We’d recommend always keeping the silencer on. As well as making noise, the unsilenced USP has more higher recoil and much worse accuracy. There’s just no benefit to taking it off.

The USP skins CS:GO has to offer are some of the cheaper skins in the game but are still expensive among other pistols. You won’t be finding many CS:GO free skins for the USP, that’s for sure, with the popularity of the weapon inflating the price of most CS:GO USP skins.  The list of the most expensive USP skins ends at the USP Kill Confirmed skin. For a StatTrak Factory New USP Kill Confirmed, you’ll be looking to spend around $600. Despite the hefty price tag, it’s certainly interesting to look at.

If $600 is too heavy a price to pay, you can actually get hold of a Battle-Scarred version for around $40, which is definitely more palatable.

However, we actually don’t think Kill Confirmed is among the best USP skins CS:GO has available to players. That title goes to the USP Ticket To Hell. At just $12 for a StatTrak Factory New, it’s the perfect blend of interesting to look at, but accessible to most players to afford. For this reason you’ll likely see the USP Ticket To Hell in many lower-ranked matches of CS:GO.
