Danish esports organisation Astralis has announced a partnership with the humanitarian organisation Danish Red Cross Youth.
Danish Red Cross Youth branding will be featured on all Astralis CS:GO jerseys, including its women’s roster, talent roster and its first team which will compete in the ESL Pro League.
The Danish Red Cross and Astralis have worked together on several activations and projects in the past, mostly focusing on children and youth. Sidsel Nybo Andersen, a partnership consultant at the Danish Red Cross Youth, noted that this partnership allows the organisation to reach younger men and women who are often difficult to reach when seeking new volunteers or promoting specific projects.
The new agreement will see the partnership expanded to feature branding on jerseys of the two main Astralis team rosters and the organisation’s talent roster.
The two organisations noted that the partnership aims to provide exposure to the Danish Red Cross Youth across all of Astralis’ Counter-Strike teams and digital media. The logo will be placed on the chest for the Astralis talent team and the first CS:GO team, and on the sleeve for its women’s roster.
Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis, commented: “The work that Danish Red Cross Youth do for young people in Denmark matches the values we in Astralis strive to promote every day. As we have for a period freed up the main position on the jersey, it was only natural for us to reach out and support the enormous efforts for Danish children and young people that is done by Red Cross Youth.”
Astralis has made headlines this summer after the company passed a vote to be delisted from the NASDAQ stock exchange. This was quickly followed by two interesting partnerships: one with electronics retailer Elgiganten and the other with building material provider STARK.
