The Arc World Tour is one of the premier esports circuits for Guilty Gear. Run by the official developer, Arc System Works, this is the highlight of a year of tournaments for Guilty Gear. This year’s is about to reach its conclusion, where its huge prize pool will be decided across a single day at the Arc World Tour Guilty Gear Finals
While there’s been a recent Guilty Gear patch, the ARC World Tour Finals will b played on a pretty stable game. Since there were no new character changes, we’re looking at a pretty similar build to a lot of the qualifying tournaments here. This is what you can expect at the World Tour Guilty Gear Finals.

The AWT Guilty Gear Finals is coming at the end of all AWT events. This is basically a final bracket. Only the top 8 players have made it this far into the event after all of the qualifiers. Players who won events like Frosty Faultings, CEOTaku, the Mixup, and more are all going to be present. This is a surely international tournament too. The best players have been pulled from across the world for this.
Format – How Does it Work? The Arc World Tour Guilty Gear Finals has a similar format to other events so far in this circuit. At this stage though, it’s only being played through as a bracket. There are just eight players who have made it this far.
Sets of players will compete in head-to-head matches. The winners continue in the main bracket. Losers go into the lower bracket for a second chance. Losing in that side means their journey is over. This continues until both brackets have a winner, they then face each other in the Grand Final. This is a Double Elimination format and it’s how we’ll find this year’s champion for all Guilty Gear events.
Arc World Tour Guilty Gear Finals – Prize PoolThe prize pool for the Arc World Tour is pretty sizeable, as is fitting for an international finale for a year of events. There’s a total of $100,000 in prize money this year. This is how it breaks down for competitors
The competitors at the Arc World Tour Guilty Gear Finals for 2023 are those who have won national-level events throughout the season. There’s a clear weighting in the players though. We’ve got three Japanese players competing and three American players competing. Other parts of the world aren’t as heavily represented. These are all of the competitors which will be at the event.
If you’re looking to follow along with the highest level of competitive Guilty Gear, you can watch it at home. The event is being broadcast directly on Twitch! It’s going to be on the official Arc System Works Twitch channel. There are commentators in English on here. Although, there is a separate broadcast which will also have commentators in Japanese.
The winner here can claim to have won at one of the top fighting games for 2023. If you want to see who claims the title for a year of Guilty Gear, we don’t have long to wait. You’ll have to tune into the Guilty Gear Finals and see who comes out on top.
