Alpine, the performance sub-brand of French car manufacturer Renault, has partnered with BLAST ahead of the upcoming CS:GO BLAST.tv Paris Major.
The partnership will focus on in-person activations during the Major, which is set to take place this month in the French capital. Alpine has become the Official Automotive and Motorsport partner for the final stages of the Major, and will collaborate with CS:GO skin designer Brock Hofer.
This is the latest in a string of partnerships that BLAST has made ahead of the last CS:GO Major ever. The event will be supported by hardware brand Zowie, as well as alcoholic beverage brands Ballantine’s, Jameson and Absolut. The BLAST.tv Paris Major will see 24 of the best CS:GO teams compete for the title, and will be the first Major ever played in France.
During the Major, Alpine and BLAST will work on a series of in-person and digital activations. The car brand will showcase its A 110 S sportscar at the event and will also provide simulation racing rigs for visitors to try out. Esports presenter Frankie Ward will act as the ambassador of the partnership and the ‘voice of Alpine’, according to the car brand.
Alpine also announced that it plans to work with artist Brock Hofer, known as the person behind the iconic Hyperbeast CS:GO skin series. Hofer and Alpine will present the artist’s newest skin during the Paris Major.
In addition to Alpine supporting BLAST during the Major, the esports company will have its logo present on the Alpine Formula One car during the upcoming 2023 Emilia Romagna Formula One Grand Prix.
David Gendry, VP Sponsorship, Partnerships & Communication at Alpine, commented: “A crossover like this hasn’t been trialled in esports before. We are very respectful of the CS:GO community which is why we wanted to engage with attendees in a way that would be natural, leaning on CS:GO icons to help us blend in with the scene.”
