The California Department of Consumer Affairs is in charge of making sure that security guards are licenced and have the right training. The Department has put together a list of rules that security guard services sheldon, CA must follow. Security guards must have a licence or registration from the Department that is still valid. Every year, on June 30, licences and registrations for security guards run out. It is important to renew them before they run out. A security guard must show proof that they have taken an eight-hour course in California law enforcement and an eight-hour course in emergency first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). They also have to show proof that they have passed a drug test and a check for criminal records. Security guards can't bring guns or other dangerous weapons to work, but they can use handcuffs. The rules and regulations for security guards in Sacramento, California, are an example of how the government controls the security industry. These rules are in place to make sure that all guards are properly trained and have all the tools they need to keep their clients safe. Before they can work as security guards, people need to get a licence from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS). They must also finish a course called Basic Guard Training (BGT), which is offered by BSIS or one of its approved providers. Security guard services must also be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and not have a criminal record.
