Finding cheap or free parking on the Las Vegas Strip can be tricky, but there are several options available if you know where to look. With a little planning and research, you can save yourself a lot of money during your Vegas vacation. Here are some tips for scoring free parking las vegas strip near the casinos and attractions.
Many Las Vegas hotels and casinos offer free self-parking in their parking garages for guests and visitors. Some hotels even have separate lots just for day parking. Simply pull into the parking lot, check for signage indicating free parking, and leave your car for as long as you want.
All you have to do is show your hotel key or player's card at the exit when you return to your vehicle. Some of the best hotels for free parking include Excalibur, Luxor, MGM Grand, New York New York, and Tropicana. Just be aware that hotel parking lots tend to fill up fast, so arrive early.
While full-price valet parking on the Strip can be expensive, some hotels offer free valet parking with a player's card or hotel stay. Hotels like Circus Circus, Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, Mirage, and Treasure Island all offer free valet parking under certain conditions. Check with the hotel or casino to see what's required to score the complimentary valet service.
Many Strip casinos have large self-parking garages that are free to use for visitors. Just like with hotel lots, show your player's card when exiting the garage to verify your visit. Some casinos with free parking garages include Bellagio, Caesars Palace, The Venetian, Wynn Las Vegas, and many more. Again, arrive early to beat the crowds and snag a spot.
In addition to casino garages, there are several large surface parking lots located right on the Strip with no overnight fees. These can be good options if garages are full. Some of the best free Strip-side lots are:
- Harmon Avenue lot between Flamingo and City Center
- Convention Center North lot between Flamingo and Spring Mountain
- Convention Center South lot between Tropicana and Spring Mountain
Just be wary of leaving personal items visible in your vehicle when parking in surface lots.
While metered, many side streets that run parallel to the Strip allow for free parking overnight. As long as you feed the meters during operating hours, you can leave your car parked along resort corridor roads like Paradise Road and Koval Lane after hours.
Just be sure to read all street signage carefully for parking restrictions. But these side streets can be a convenient free overnight parking option in a pinch.
Large retail shopping centers located just off the Strip also tend to have free parking lots. As long as you make a purchase at one of the stores, you can usually leave your car in the lot for as long as you want. Some good options include:
- Fashion Show Mall
- Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian
- The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace
Simply validate your parking ticket after shopping to avoid any fees upon exit.
In conclusion, with some research and planning, you can easily find free parking las vegas strip during your visit. Hotel lots, casino garages, surface lots and side streets all offer complimentary options if you know where to look. Compare your choices based on location and safety, then snag a spot and get out to experience everything the Strip has to offer!
