Eastern and Western doctors agree that practicing yoga every day is good for your physical, mental and emotional state. Let's break down the benefits of daily yoga.
1. Yoga is engagement
“I don’t have time for yoga” is a typical excuse in our crazy days, when you don’t even have time to eat or watch your favorite TV series. But daily yoga doesn’t mean 90-minute sessions. Anyone can find 20 minutes a day. Sometimes 7–10 minutes for meditation today is enough, and tomorrow, maybe, you’ll have half an hour for it. It doesn’t matter how much time you devote to yoga every day, what matters is immersion in the process and constant involvement. Yoga gives you time to be alone with yourself and expands your personal space.
2. Yoga is self-care
No matter what is going on in our lives, self-care is paramount. Making time for yoga in your daily schedule to please yourself and your body is a matter of great importance and necessity. And it is not at all selfish. After all, if you do not find time to fill yourself with energy, then you simply will not have the energy to do other things on the list.
3. Yoga is “here and now”
We are used to living on autopilot, calculating the near future or getting stuck in the past, instead of being in the moment and enjoying life here and now. Yoga is one of the most powerful tools that allows you to feel the present. When practicing, you focus on your breathing and sensations in the body, feel calm, clarity of mind and find yourself.
4. Yoga is movement
Of course, on a physical level, daily yoga is a gift for your body. The practice makes you strong and flexible, helps digestion, strengthens muscles, heals joints, is good for the spine, and reduces any pain. By the way, yoga not only heals, but also acts as a preventive measure, protecting us from all sorts of ailments. Today, when most people are busy with sedentary jobs, yoga is inevitable. Move towards the yoga mat , and you will see that endorphins have started flowing and your mood has improved!
5. Yoga is grounding
One of the magical properties of yoga is to lift us up by grounding us. If you have heard anything about bioenergetics, you probably know that it is important for a person to stand confidently on his feet, to feel a connection with the roots and the earth. Yoga gives us not only a sense of awareness, but also a sense of support. When we are “grounded,” we go through life with clear goals and the resources necessary to achieve these goals.
6. Yoga is inspiration
There is a special beauty in daily practice. Through the softness and grace of yoga, we find a way to ourselves and discover the world around us. Yoga inspires us to be better people and change the world around us for the better. There are 1440 minutes in a day. Finding at least 10 minutes to stand on the mat is not that difficult. Make a promise to yourself to find these 10-15 minutes every day, and you will see how your life changes.
