Blood tests are not used to diagnose cancer, but they can help learn about a person's overall health. For example, they can be used to help determine whether a person is healthy enough to undergo surgery or certain types of chemotherapy.
Blood tests can: Check your general health, including how well your liver and kidneys are working. Check blood cell counts. Help diagnose cancer and other diseases.
Here are some other possible signs and symptoms of cancer, other than a noticeable lump in the breast

Nipple discharge
Indentations
Lymph node changes
Breast or nipple pain

Warm, red, irritated, and/or itchy breasts: These conditions are among the most common early signs of inflammatory breast cancer. Nipple discharge: Any nipple discharge other than breast milk that may leak from the breast during or after pregnancy Any discharge should be checked by a doctor.
Breast cancer most often starts in cells in the milk ducts (invasive ductal carcinoma). Breast cancer may also develop in glandular tissue called lobules (invasive lobular carcinoma) or in other cells or tissues within the breast.
